Ari bleibt auf jeden Fall [Ari is Definitely Staying]
Red strings, a net. A walk, a march. A statue, an empty sidewalk. Filmed around the removal of Ari, the Friedenstatue in Berlin-Moabit, this short documentary drifts between protest and disappearance. As red nets—sangre de mi sangre—are woven and carried through the streets in solidarity with Ari, they trace invisible lines between histories of violence, care, and collective memory. Through lingering images and voices of neighbours recounting what remained after she was taken, the film becomes a quiet meditation on presence, loss, and the fragile threads that hold remembrance together.
